1170/1855 V18551170 43B PASFIELD WILLIAM H - OLLIFFE ELLEN - MF

10 Jan 1856 Christ Church CofE

Daughter of John & Ellen so another ref to 1856 for John.

John not in 1841 census and earliest in Trove 1856.

Looks as though the families did not arrive together. Also seems one is more strictly RC than the other.

Noticed this on Anc.

NZ Births:
Henry Oliffe
Birth Date: 1849
Registration Place: New Zealand
Folio Number: 199

There is this in the NZ BMD:
1849/1729
Oliffe Henry
Parents = Ellen & John

If same John and Ellen, probably still in NZ until at least 1849. Can't see an arrival yet.

One ref to a John Oliffe in NZ papers - 1847.

There are more hits but the name is actually Cliffe in those articles.

I can't find any Oliffe/Olliffe deaths 1840 - 1940 in NZ index so did Henry die in Australia?

Most arrivals from NZ landed in Victoria.

Married to a Sarah. Clarence and Richmond River papers please copy. Northern NSW.

Buried CofE Waverley. I hope the cemetery record has his age.
