My 3 x GGrandfather Parlet Patrick was born in Trowse in Norfolk. He had 5 children from 1800 onwards all baptised in Barnby in Suffolk a nearby village where they moved to. Parlet was a farmer and owned properties in the surrounding areas. On the childrens baptisimal records it says there mother is Mary Barrett. I cannot find any marriage for her and Parlet anywhere. She later is found on the census records and states her place of birth as Carleton Colville Suffolk. I have found a record for Mary Barr born in 1776 in Carleton Colville and I am assuming this could be her with a slight change of name? However I have now found Parlet Patrick's Will which states that he leaves several pieces of property to his wife Mary one of which was left to him by his late farther-in-law John Hawes.
Mary and Parlet had a child Thomas Hawes Patrick and in fact the use of the Hawes as a middle name for various children in the family turns up again and again.
My question is Are Mary Barrett and ? Hawes one and the same person (did she marry a Mr Barrett was widowed and then married Parlet?) Or did Parlet marry ? Hawes and was then widowed and then married Mary Barrett? This seems odd to me that Mary Barrett should call one of her children Thomas Hawes Patrick. I have searched and searched the records and cannot find anything. If they married in Trowse the records for that time are damaged and this maybe the answer but if anyone can help I would really be grateful. Thank you

Suffolk fhs have this entry on their Marriage Index. It is a transcription.

Parlet Patrick married Mary Barrett 10 March 1800 at St John the Baptist church, Barnby, Suffolk

There is a baptism in Carlton Colville 18 May 1775 for a Mary Barret, parents Edward and Elizabeth. Original image on fmp. It is not the clearest image and the surname is also transcribed as Banet as well as Barrett. However the couple baptised two sons William in 1779 and Edmund in 1783 and they have the name transcribed as Barrett.
