No female McCabe death in NSW index in 1859.

Death 5166/1867 McCABE JAMES - PATRICK - MARGARET - GOULBURN * 23 Oct

That has Margaret but there seems to be some doubt it's correct.

Bounty arrivals - No Results for Name: patrick mccabe

No Patrick McCabe old enough on Assisted to NSW list.

The Goulburn Herald and Chronicle (NSW : 1864 - 1881)
Sat 7 Feb 1874
SUDDEN DEATH.-On Thursday Mr. Marsden, coroner, held an inquest at Bannaby on the body of Mrs Mary McCabe, aged about fifty years, wife of a settler. From the evidence adduced it appears that the deceased had for some time complained of a pain in the chest and of being subject to fits. On Monday she went to Taralga and saw Mr. Whiting, who gave her some medicine which afforded some relief. On the following evening she was going home in a cart and was taken suddenly ill and died. The evidence of Dr. Morton, who made a post-mortem examination, showed that the deceased died of fatty degeneration of the heart. Verdict accordingly.

Thanks Ellie.

Thanks gibbo.

So it looks as though Margaret is an error and we should be looking for arrival of Patrick and Mary.

The IGI says Margaret is the daughter of Patrick & Mary. And Charles & Lawrence.

The Mary who died 1874 was nee Downey who married Patrick's son James, who for some reason is 'Thomas' in the shipping record. I checked the image yesterday to be sure I transcribed it correctly.

A break in the rain so I was out in the garden.

Not sure. The IGI have Patrick & Mary but this has Patrick & Margaret. The children in the IGI don't include son James ??
