:( im doing my dads family tree from Scotland,and they ur so hard to find,i get people sayin they found them,then i never hear from them again,can anybody know why

Sorry I havnt got an answer to your question. Post the details on the forum
and will see what can be found. I've got access to Ancestry for the Scottish census even though some may be indexing only.

If you are relatively new to this family history / genealogy (addiction! :)), you really need to go back to basics:
Start here - Genealogy FAQ

How far have you got with your Dad's research?
His Father, his granddad? His Great granddad?
Have you birth, marriage and death certificates?
These are a must have. Please do not rely on names and dates on the internet. By all means use them as a guide - but you must get the written evidence, which are mainly certificates (B.M.D) and census transcripts.
