Hi new on here so hope I am in the right place and someone can help.
How can I find out what battalion my great grandad was in.

Private Percy John Morris
sussex Reg g/12291
Middlesex reg g/40312

lost in action 1918

Supplementary Notes:

FORMERLY G/12290, ROYAL SUSSEX REGT.

It would appear he enlisted into the Sussex reg with no 12290 then transferred to the Mdsx Reg with no 40312

Hi,i expect that is interesting to you.......note the date he died,like my Grandads brother so near to the end of the war.
