Adelaide so probably a church register being before 1842.

DIED.
SHANKS.-On the 23rd June, at his residence, Sturt-street, of chronic bronchitis, Peter Shanks, aged 67 years. An old colonist of 38 years.

4 hits on SP 1800-1815, this looks likely as it has has Campbell in the parentage.. I notice the Old Colonists collection has b. 1810?

The death reg has his age at death as 67y, so the above would be 5y out..

Seems the arrival has him as Peter Campbell.

Death notice has 67 in 1877.

GOVERNMENT GAZETTE NOTICES.
The Commissioner of the Court of Insolvency of this Province, awarded and issued on or about the seventh day of July, 1841, against Peter Shanks, of Weymoulh-street, Adelaide, baker, intends to sit at the Court House Adelaide on Monday, the fifth day of January next, at twelve o'clock at noon, to audit the accounts of the Assignee.

DEATHS
SHANKS.-On the 23rd January, at the residence of her son-in-law (T. D. Petrie), Gouger-street, Mary Ann, relict of Peter Shanks, aged 72 years. Arrived in the ship Somersetshire on August 31, 1839. Interred in West-terrace Cemetery on Sunday afternoon.
