They are correct, except for the marriage to Catherine HERRON, You will note in the 1851/61 Censuses he was down as born in Liverpool. I do not have his death, his [and her] second marriage was to Rosina Heany Age 42, [He was 47] Marriage Date 05/10/1856 Marriage Place Liverpool, Christ Church Lancashire England her father John Boyle.His father was FELIX both were Smiths. Her first marriage was to John Heaney a Blacksmith [maybe PM was working with JH before his death], the 1861 Census gives them living in 35 Bevington St Liverpool he is now a merchant Seaman, Next door is Daniel and Elizabeth. 1871 Rosinia Mooney [62] is now a [Widow] living in Atkinson St, Islington. Liverpool as Mother to the head Catherine Moss. So NO birth or Death for Peter Mooney.

The main backbone to the family is Son Peter Mooney b 1844 in Bevington St, Liverpool, Lancs, His older sister Ellen looks after him in the 1861 Census Lodging with the Duggans, Then he marries in 1867 to Rebecca Warrington, He changes trade to that of her father- Chairmaker

So 1851 aged approx. 42 he was a blacksmith then suddenly in 1861 aged approx 57 his occupation is noted as Sailor Merchant Service
Im not sure about the above.
I know in the census they sometimes rounded up or rounded ages but there is a 5 year difference in ages here. 1851 he is 42 then 1861 he is 57.
I would also assume [but could be wrong] that it seems to be a huge difference in occupation and seems a little late in life to be joining up to be a sailor. Also both the above census state born in Lancaster and your fella was born Ireland??
Have you got the right Peter Mooney in the 1861 census??

I agree. The first problem I had was about Ireland [Only mentioned in 1841 Census], the 51 /61 Census state Liverpool. I also found that he was listed on all of his 3 children's marriages as a Smith/ Blacksmith from March 1860, Feb 1867 and Dec 1869. The problem I had [have] is I couldn't find him in 1861 [ Originally thought he was dead, it was a bit funny as the New Marriage with Rose doesn't have his 2 Children, who were lodging elsewhere]. House not big enough, they didn't get on with the Step Mother?]. Also, in the marriage to Rosianna he then has the fathers Name. Is it because he has his 2 brothers now that they know who he was ?. The Bevington Street [1861] was where his son Peter was born in 1844, this date also caused problems as that was out by 5 Years.
