Hi

Having another look at this couple [18 months since last look]

Marriage
Henry Petherbridge
Marriage Date: 25 Apr 1824
Place: Brixham, Devon
Spouse: Elizabeth Perrim
[Perrim has a number of variants]

1841
CIVIL PARISH: Preston By Wingham
HUNDRED: Ringslow
COUNTY: Kent
ADDRESS: Brunswick Place
RD: Isle of Thanet
SUB-RD: Ramsgate
PIECE: 469, BOOK: 2, FOLIO: 29, PAGE: 7

Heny Petherbridge 33
Heny Petherbridge 14
Elizth Petherbridge 30
Mary Petherbridge 12
[Henry & Eliz' Not BiC]

If both were rounded down by 5y, Henry would just be 21y in 1824 and Elizabeth 18y in 1824. Banns and marriage are recorded, no ages given, consent line left blank. Probably doesn't matter, but it is hampering finding their births/bap's

Other thread: HERE. There are a couple of others, but nothing new..

Any thoughts/ideas appreciated.

Many thanks

Geoff

Looks like this Henry and Mary were together in 1861:

Name: Henry Petherbridge
Age: 58
Estimated birth year: 1803
Relation: Head
Spouse's Name: Mary Petherbridge
Gender: Male
Where born: Brixham, Devon, England
Ecclesiastical parish: Brixham
County/Island: Devon
Registration district: Totnes
Sub-registration district: Brixham
ED, institution, or vessel: 5
Household schedule number: 69
Piece: 1415
Folio: 91
Page Number: 13

Henry Petherbridge 58
Mary Petherbridge 57
Joseph G Perrett 17
Philip Norrish 14

I can't get that one to come up at all on fmp even with piece number, folio and page. Mary's age is out though. On the marriage she was tree years older than him, not younger. I do know that not all ages are correct, though.

If the 1861 Census for Elizabeth as a visitor to a family in Hull is correct then it makes for wondering if the marriage had fallen apart.

The death for Elizabeth in 1867 gives no more info on the image than you have given, so it could be her but then again perhaps not!

I thought the same thing about the death for Elizabeth, and I found the census on Ancestry. They were living in Paradise Alley on both census.

Thanks, ladies..

I'll need to look through what's been found..

Mary Elizabeth Petherbridge b. 1829 Ramsgate [post #5] is my connection on this line. I've never really got to grips with this family.

Mary Elizabeth married a George Thomas in 1849 [little else known about him], their dau., Elizabeth Peram Thomas, is probably what connects them

Geoff

Interesting point I've just spotted. In Post #11 living with Henry and Mary is 14 year old Philip Norrish. When Henry and Elizabeth married one of the witnesses was an Edward Norish.

I've looked at this, Ellie and it is feasible because her son and dau both moved to Hull 1841-1849 [separately possibly] and married, it is mainly with the parents before 1824 and after 1841 where the issues lie.

So if their mother, Elizabeth was visiting it is odd that she is not with son or dau  I don't recognise Charles Vinton or Sarah [Clatworthy]. That said, could still be Elizabeth just staying there, birth details fit and death NOT found yet

I haven't found anything concrete for Henry & Elizabeth for 1851 yet

Thanks, Em'.

I can't see a suitable birth reg for a Norrish/Norish, there is a possible for a Phillip Norris...
