Photo attachments???

Okay, this forum is about photos but I can't find where you actually attach the photo you want to discuss? I have seen other posts with them so what am I missing? Cheers

Hello Jo,

Across the top of the edit box you will see an A and a and what looks like a paper clip - that's the attachment link.

Sorry Dave but is the edit box (or this forum)suitable to iPad as I can not see what you are talking about. My edit box has fonts, sizes, colour of text, smilies, weblinks etc but the icon that looks like a paperclip has a big red cross thru it and it won't do anything. There are more smilies (I can't stand smilies) on the side panel.

The one above the icon with the red X on it. Run your pointing device over it and it will pop up "Attachments"

Nope, the icon above the paper clip with the cross through it is the smilie icon button. Next to that is the reverse arrow. Perhaps it is an iPad issue? Anyone else had this problem? I can't even copy/paste into the body of the text.
Not happy.

I have not used or even seen an iPad.

But there are two methods for everything:

There is a button below the edit box called Manage Attachments.

Hi Dave,
I cant see a paperclip thing anywhere on mine neither
If and when i post attachments, after i write what i want to on my thread i just scroll down to manage attachments and go from there.
Would the site come up different on different computers?

It is possibly due to the settings in the control panel. You have a choice of 3 edit box styles.
Last one on the Edit Options. I'm using the middle one.

Hi Jo....register for the above,i copy my pics from all my files or off google,in fact from anyware.
Store in Photobucket and just copy and paste,i am simple and find it easy:biggrin:

User CP - Edit Options -

At the bottom

Changing from Basic Editor to Standard Editor sometimes fixes the problem.

Changing from Standard Editor to Enhanced Interface sometimes fixes the problem.

Changing browsers sometimes fixes the problem.

If those fail then it's possible there is no solution without an update to the forum software depending on the computer / OS combination being used.
