Hello, I am new so I hope I am doing this in the right way.
I have recently obtained the MIC for my Great Grandfather,
the word transfd seems to be noted and his 'Theatre of War'
is not filled in.
He embarked on 16/8/14 and was still a soldier when married in 1918
and when my grandad was born 1922.
could anyone tell me what the 'transfd' means?
Help would be greatly appreciated as he left his family in 1922 and
we have no real information about him from then on.
