I can work a few bits out Julie.

1st Line - Attested private.
2nd. Line - Former service in Land Transport. ? ? ? an application
3rd Line - for discharge recieved.
4th Line - Imprisonment by civil power.
5th Line - Released Private.


What do ya reckon.

Looks good enough to me. Would imprisioned civil power mean it was a civillian offence?

Only looks like a month in clink, so I don't reckon it was too serious.;)

Looks like he had two periods in the Army as I read it, but I bet i'm wrong though.:biggrin:

Drunk as a skunk might be right. He died in 1894 apparently had to much to drink at a funeral fell asleep in a doorway, caught pneumonia and met his maker.
