A question for all you wonderful people "down-under":-

What would an Australian Policeman be doing on duty of some sort in Cyprus in the period around 1965-1967? I met one first name Errol, could have been Melbourne or Brisbane - not Sydney. He did tell me but we were having a beer at the time!!!!!

Thank you one and all for your replies, I knew there was British Infantry in Cyprus working under the UN Flag which was primarily "Peace-Keeping" because the soldiers get to wear the pale blue beret. I just wish I was as clever as you.
