Created : 18.7.1863 (out of Cardiff and Methyr Tydfil registration districts).

I still can't find what RD it is in before 1863.

It's not listed in either of those.

After a wee bit of bother I believe Pontypridd came under the parish of Llanwonno and so was in the registration district of Merthyr Tydfil.

To find I put in just Pontypridd in the search of an 1851 census on FMP and Pontypridd came up as the town and Llanwyno as the parish. Think that means Llanwonno.

Not easy!
