Hello crankypants,

It's ok. Perhaps I should have had Minnie in my head. :2fun: I looked in the index in my database and didn't find a Minnie POWELL, but there is one of course in 1903:

1903 N.S.W Electoral Roll - WENTWORTH-GLENMORE POLLING-PLACE
2630 Powell Minnie, 40 Comber-street, domestic duties
2631 Powell William George Henry, 40 Comber-street, carpenter

Although I have nothing else that says Miriam was known as Minnie.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 27 February 1932 p.12
DEATHS
POWELL.-February 19, 1932, at Coast Hospital (suddenly), Miriam, dearly beloved wife of William G. H. Powell of Leura 37 Duxford street Paddington, and mother of Will, Amy, Charles (deceased), George, Reg, Alma, Lila, Stan, Ruby, and Edie, aged 60 years.

So if that Minnie in 1913 is the spouse then it's a different address for the carpenter.

I don't have an Edward or Adeline in my tree. ???

Birth: 4175/1875 POWELL EDWARD EDWARD ADELINE NEWTOWN

Ok it looks as though Edward and Adeline are not part of my family.

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

The only other way to be sure about 1913 is to find a daughter with one or both parents:

Amy Ethel T. or Alma Elizabeth S. or Lila Victoria S. or Ruby Marian F.

Dave

Hi Dave

It's me not you.

The page is 'skew whiff' so I endup up having to search POWELL only. Fortunately I only had to search 4 volumes before I found them.

1913 N.S.W Electoral Roll - PADDINGTON—GLENMORE-ROAD POLLING-PLACE
2504 Powell Amy 37 Duxford-street tailoress
2506 Powell Minnie 37 Duxford-street domestic duties
2507 Powell William George Albert 37 Duxford-street bricklayer
2508 Powell William George Henry 37 Duxford-street carpenter

Looks like Miriam is Minnie.

cheers

Hello crankypants,

Thanks. It's ok. I didn't know either when you posted #3. :2fun:

I only found the article in NLA this morning and thought when I just pasted it that Muston street Mosman might help. :)

Mother and daughter.

Dave
