Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much. It's not Alexandria. Perhaps we should move on.

It does however answer a question I've had and not been able to answer for many years, ie. is Catherine's middle name SANDS or SWAN :D
Her mother is the former and her grandmother the latter. :)

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much.

Joseph George b. 1882 Paddington

Interesting that in 1913 his brother Leslie Gladstone was in Marrickville but by 1916 was living at 66 Garden st. Alexandria.

In 1915 Joseph George was living at 56 Garden st. Alexandria.

1936 N.S.W Electoral Roll – Cook – Camdenville
SILVA Alma, 1 Dickson street, home duties
SILVA Joseph George, 1 Dickson street, no occupation
They both died after 1960.

Please see what you can find. Thanks.

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Still can't get past the 'youngest daughter' bit.

Must be another Joseph living in Alexandria but out of 5 possible spouses I can't say which one is the mother of Isabel Laura. Can Isabel be found after 1919? Need something else to be sure of ruling her out.

Lots of Laura Isabel in the E/R. It's not Irene Isabel (nee O'HARA) spouse of another sibling Alfred Leopold.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave

It's frustrating as I can only see one Isabel SILVA born with a father Joseph that would fit the marriage year in 1907.

Images sent.

Hello crankypants,

Thanks.

Yes, frustrating. No sign of a birth in NSW for Isabel Laura and no sign of a remarriage or death either.

SILVA Hilda Mary, 30 White avenue, Bankstown, home duties
SILVA Leslie Gladstone, 30 White avenue, Bankstown, motor-driver

Hello crankypants,

I've found only one tree with Isabel daughter of Joseph J and Catherine S. The tree has no marriage and no death for Isabel.

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much. Ok, that explains why no NSW records. I can't see her using her middle name in E/R in Victoria. There is an Isobel Laura BELL in NSW. ??? I still can't see a death in NSW in BMD or Ryerson.

Alfred Leopold b. 1901.

1936 N.S.W Electoral Roll – Wentworth – Bondi North
SILVA Alfred Leopold, 14 Griffith avenue, Bondi, clerk
SILVA Irene Isabel, 14 Griffith avenue, Bondi, home duties
They both died after 1965.

Please see what you can find. Thanks.

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave

She's certainly keeping us busy. >:D

The Sydney Morning Herald... Friday 12 October 1917
BELL v BELL.
Mr. A. G. Young appeared for the petitioner Gradys May Bell (formerly Hagon), who sued for a dissolution of her marriage with Edward William Braidwood Bell, on the ground of respondent's misconduct with a woman named Isobell Westlake. The parties were married in June, 1906, at Redfern, according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. His Honor, on the evidence, found the issues proved in favour of petitioner, and granted a decree nisi, returnable in six months.

Will send CABBAN e/r's shortly.

cheers
