can anyone tell me how to find a christing record i think my g/father was christended in 1886 the church in watling st dartford

Hi Pauline.
It should be possible to view the original church records, these may still be held in the church or may be in the local archives, a letter to the minister at the church should establish where they are held and what the viewing arrangments are.
If that doesnt work, or if it is too far to travel,the records might have been transcribed and put online by the mormon church at http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp which is a free to use database containing many of the censuses and parish records.

Might be something on this site...... http://www.kent-opc.org/Parishes/Dartford.html , they seem to hold a lot of church records from the area.
