Hi, Sorry I haven't been on for a while, but I have just lost my mum, and what with that, and work, you know how it is. Anyway back to the matter in hand. Can anyone tell me where I can find out if a person left a will in the past five years, and how I go about obtaining a copy.

Thanks

Lynne

Hi Lynne

I am so sorry to hear that your mother died recently. My thoughts are with you.

Most Probate offices have around the country a branch where you can look at the index. We have one in Exeter and I went and had a look. Try looking online or in the telephone book and see if there is one near you

if your mam made a will at her solicitors it will be held there,i lost my mam only a few years ago and although i had a copy of the will this was not acceptable and i had to pay to get the original from the solicitors who had held it for about 9 years i think,so you could try there first.my regards to you at this sad time suex
