Prime Ministers speach Yesterday

Julia Gillard prime minister of Australia gave the usual Australia day speech explaining how she and her family came to Ozzie as "ten pound poms", her words.

It just goes to show that Australia is a totally classless society [egalitarian] and any one can rise to the highest office in the land. This is one of the very things that makes me extremely proud to be an Aussie.

Anyone can become whatever they want in this Lucky country.

We have absolutely no class system in Australia and if you went shopping and bumped into Julia you could have a very informal chat about anything, just like friends, even if you had never met her before, and she would not think she was better than anyone else, this applies to all Aussies in high office.

Well i voted for this guy.......this photo was the end for him though with regards your premiership:biggrin:

On a serious note i think she did a great job regarding handling the floods.....and she has Welsh blood too:eek:

Incidently Steve my wife Donnami was born in Austraaaaaaaaaalia......and her Ma n Pa had the ten pound ticket.

From what i understand Julia is all Welsh and her family moved here for her health and the climate as she had serious chest infections and thought it would help her, obviously it must have worked.

I don't vote for her party or anyone in it but she has done a great job in our hour of need regarding the floods.

Didn't Donnami [nice name] like us over here.
