Baptisms for James and Ann and their deaths - can't confirm.

Can't confirm date of enlistment.

Can't confirm marriage or that her maiden name was Wild.

Lieutenant Colonel Paterson arrived at Port Dalrymple aboard the 'Buffalo' on 4 November 1804 in the company of the 'Integrity', 'Lady Nelson' and the 'Francis'. James Hortle not listed.
Private James Hortle and another Private of 102nd Regiment of Foot remained in Sydney for some reason so far unknown. Don't know yet when and on what vessel James arrived in VDL.

Ok, if baptism and marriage can't be found can we confirm date of enlistment?
If this is him, after 1794..

Colonial Secretary's Office
James Hortle
Event Date: 11 Nov 1794
Event Description: On list of all grants and leases of land registered in the Colonial Secretary's Office
Page: 28
[Concord]

There is another in 1795, not easy to read, but neither refers to him as a 'serviceman'
