My legal knowlege goes as far as 'stop at red lights' and 'don't knock down pedestrians'.

Is probate an English law thing only or does it apply to Scotland?

Thats really interesting as I didnt realise that the term probate has a different definition in Scotland. As I was just looking on the directogv website but they do not state the difference between both their laws. So does that mean that it is different in Wales as well?? So if I am not mistaken the word probate can be used when a company such as ITC Legal Services helps sort out a persons estate, possessions and so forth once they are deceased and you have to always go through this process right?
