Provost Corps/Militery Foot Police

I am trying to research my wifes grandfathers militery history.
his name was Harry Herbert Whitmell who was a sergeant in the Grenadier Guards in 1909 who we believe transfered to the Provost Corps/Military Foot Police at the beginning of the First World War.
He was stationed on Malta in 1915
It appears that ultimately he was a GSM maybe in the portsmouth area.
can anyone throw any light on Harrys record for us please.

I have found a medal roll index card. Harry H. Whitmell. Military Provost Staff Corps. Regimental No.1491

You are correct we do have this information
