Hi Dave

With (18) James Robinson deaths between 1888-1903 it's almost impossible to know which is Maria's husband. That's if he did die before 1903. Couldn't see any children to this marriage.
Searched QLD E/R BEFORE 1903, found one James ROBINSON, again too hard to tell if him.
1895 & 1900 QLD Electoral Roll – District Albert
Robinson, James, freehold, Knapp

1930 NSW Electoral Roll – Eden Monaro - Kiama
GRAY John, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, independant means
GRAY Maria, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, home duties

No Maria & John GRAY in 1933 Kiama. Did a search for Maria with no surname in Kiama, still no luck. John’s at the above address in 1936 so maybe just missing off index?
1933 (1) Maria GRAY in Wentworth, Clovelly (no John)
1933 (23) John GRAY’s

1936 NSW Electoral Roll – Eden Monaro - Kiama
GRAY John, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, independant means
GRAY Rubena Stella, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, home duties

1937 NSW Electoral Roll – Eden Monaro - Kiama
GRAY John, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, independant means
GRAY Rubena Stella, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, home duties

2nd Marriage for John GRAY
8205/1935 GRAY JOHN SQUIRES RUBENA S MARRICKVILLE

1943 NSW Electoral Roll – Eden Monaro - Kiama
GRAY Rubena Stella, Clover Hill, Jamberoo, home duties

John GRAY Death between 1937-1943, probably be this one.
27121/1942 GRAYJOHN FRANCIS JANE KIAMA

Possible Birth for John GRAY
V1860921 155/1860 GRAY JOHN FRANCIS JANE

2nd Marriage FOR Rubena Stella GRAY
18338/1950 EATON ERNEST ROLAND GRAYRUBENA STELLA KIAMA

Hello crankypants,

From age at death I looked for a birth in NSW for John GRAY around 1861. There is one in Kiama but parents don't match those on death reg.

Found it:

V1860921 155/1860 GRAY JOHN FRANCIS JANE

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much.

I think Edith May died on 9 Feb. I'll get that checked.
Known as May Browne and as with Sarah Sophia didn't marry. They lived together in later years at Stratton Terrace, Manly.

-------
Henry Willoughby BRERETON 1919 Moreton - Logan also I believe. He ended up joining the army just like his father and grandfather.

Entry from Transcription of Madras Baptism Indexes 1860-1871
Year: 1867 Surname: Brereton Henry W Vol: 48 p. 221

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much. I had no idea Caroline had been in NSW. Interesting. One researcher said she died on 'Walla' station but I doubt that given where she was living :D in 1954. I have her death as 20

I think we have more than one Robert MARNANE. I have his death as 20 Dec 1933 in one note but no death reg which I will get checked.

I should have said that the name is sometimes MURNANE but I still can't see Valmai or as Noreen.
