Hello crankypants,

I've searched the Barossa Council Cemeteries. There are a few NIQUET but not Theophilus. He is not listed in Angaston.

Hello crankypants,

No :D but there are THREE :D

Sorry about that. I separated them rather than put them all in the one post.

William Alfred NOBLE b. 1825 d. 1906 Qld.

Occupation: Grazier, bookseller, stationer, newsagent, ironmonger, agent, miner.
William Alfred Noble, who it is quoted in the "History of Queensland", was captain of a whaling schooner and champion harpooner at the age of 20. In 1850 he became manager of "Durrundur" station, and later "Caboolture Station". From here he moved to Fig Tree Pocket, then to Stanthorpe and later to retire in Toowoomba where they lived out their lives.

married 1850 Qld.

Emma ROPER b. 1828 d. 1917 Qld.

No luck at all with Emma or her mother. No sign in the OPC yet or FreeReg of marriage or baptisms.

-----------
William Alfred NOBLE b. 1858 Qld. d. 1942 Granville, NSW

parents Alexander Luke & Caroline

----------

William Alfred NOBLE b. 1861 d. 1932 Qld.

Chemist in Stanthorpe & Toowoomba

married 1885 Qld.

Anna Margaret MERRY b. 1863 d. 1955 Qld.

Regards,

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Thanks.

The mother of the one born 1858 has no middle name:

SLAUGHTER Caroline 13 and family Fortitude 1849 F2354

Death Reg# NOBLE CATHERINE Female PERTH 337 1911

That's an error too in the death reg.
-----------
Caroline Matilda b. 1869 is the daughter of WA and Emma ROPER

1908 QLD Electoral Roll – Capricornia – Gin Gin
INNES Catherine Matilda, Walla Station, home duties
INNES Sydney North, Walla Station, grazier
That's an error in the listing also.

Regards,

Dave

PS Children of WA & Anna MERRY are Lillian, Alice, Frank, Florence & Winifred

Hi Dave Ham re the Gray family,
Just noticed you are looking for a John Gray. If you google "All the shades of Gray" you may be able to link to a huge family history network. I have had contact with their historian last year and you never know what might come up.
Cheers,

Hello crankypants,

Thank you very much. A sister or mother ?? Please see if you can find his birth in Victoria and maybe we'll see if I'm right. However, I can't explain why Annie is not there in the earlier years as she is in 1913.
