PALMER Emma 5 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family
PALMER Mabel 39 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family
PALMER Rachel 1 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family
PALMER William 39 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family

Kids were both born in LEAMINGTON according to the passenger list so i think Mabel is a error for Hannah or he hooked up with someone else real quick.

Emma is noted as aged 5, i wonder if she was born before parents married or if she belongs to a first marriage for one of them.

Thanks gibbo. :)

So Rachel born 1852 NSW does not fit with that 1853 baptism in England with mother = Hannah.

So, have to sort out the Mabel / Hannah bit.

I thought Rachel might have been from the PALMER family descended from the Purser on the First Fleet but not so.

Thanks gibbo,

So do we have 2x William marrying sisters and a mixture of children from both families arriving?

PALMER Emma 5 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family Reel 2137, [4/4791]; Reel 2466, [4/4941]
PALMER Mabel 39 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family Reel 2137, [4/4791]; Reel 2466, [4/4941]
PALMER Rachel 1 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family Reel 2137, [4/4791]; Reel 2466, [4/4941]
PALMER William 39 Kate 1854 Sydney and/or Newcastle and family Reel 2137, [4/4791]; Reel 2466, [4/4941]

Ok, I'll have to look up reel 2466 and it should give me the names of the parents for all the children.

Reel 2137 which is the one on-line says daughter and daughter.

A bit of a puzzle at the moment.

There is no death for a Mabel in Warwich between the marriages.

So it looks as though we have 2x William who married sisters.

We have a baptism and a death for Rachel with father = William and mother = Hannah.

If Rachel in shipping record is not the one in my tree then there should be a baptism and a death for that one with mother = Mabel.

Then we do not yet have the arrival of my Rachel.

Problem: Only one 1851-1854

Births Mar Qtr 1853
PALMER Rachel Warwick 6d 431

Also only one marriage in NSW for a Rachel/Rachael.

No death for a Rachel/Rachael married or single with father = William & mother = Mabel

We have a death in NSW for Hannah nee CADDICK so she did arrive as did her daughter.

Well, I found the banns, but it has a cross 'X' through it, the others on the page don't, I haven't found the marriage yet!

There's no marriage date on them as with the others..
