Hi,
Still slowly working on my tree and found granddad was a porter on Oxford Station from 1900-1903, his wage was 15/- rising to 18/- when he left, would this have been a week a month or an annual payment, he left and as far as I can find out became a farm labourer, He married his first wife in 1900 and was lodging in 59 Abbey Road Oxford, His first son was born in 1902 in Wytham, Oxford I would have thought the wage of a farm labourer was less than 18/- so would he have left to gain a farm labourers cottage do you think? Thank you.
