Says nee Evans but the marriage clearly has Mary Auning a spinster.

... by his wife Maria Frances, née Silva, daughter of the South Head lighthouse-keeper, whom he had married at North Sydney on 20 January 1874. His estate was sworn for probate at £163.

My tree is so interconnected.

I have that Silva family in my tree. Where is Maria's birth reg?

Thanks Geoff.

It's in the Willoughby Local Govt area not North Sydney.

The library has the original card register and the details on film and in published books. Not all the records have all the details and the various records don't always agree, but most of the following can be filled in.

The Sydney Mail and New South Wales Advertiser (NSW) - Sat 7 Feb 1874 p.196
MARRIAGES
TRICKETT - SILVA.-January 20, at St. Thomas's, Willoughby, North Shore, by the Rev. Cave-Brown-Cave, Edward, the youngest son of Mr. George Trickett, of Greenwich, to Maria Frances, the only daughter of Mr. Emanuel Silva, of Macquarie Light, South Head.

The church of St. Thomas is in the suburb of North Sydney in the parish of Willoughby. The odd bit is that the suburb of Willoughby is north of the suburb of North Sydney and in a different local govt area.
