RAMC record, how can I check this?

My Dad served with the RAMC in WW2. I have found reference to a pte J(ames) Morgan, RAMC, with a service number of 13044212. This person served in Italy, which I know my Dad did. However, no other information is given (ie: home address, family details, etc), so how can I check whether this was my Dad?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

You could try an email to ask what information they are likely to hold by sending an email to:-

archives@amsmuseum.co.uk

If they have any service details, it may give you a date and place of birth, as well as where he served.

Other places may have the information and some have fees attached, but this is just a quick response to your query.
