Hello

Trying to find any information regarding Thomas Spooner otherwise Thomas King Fairman. Baptised 23 July 1809 in Drayton Parslow, Buckingham, England, mother, Elizabeth Fairman. Did his mother marry a Spooner???? I have most of the information from 1841, re Census's but trying to find Marriages/Deaths up until 1851 is rather hmmmmmmmmmm. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Kay,

The extracted baptism record has the name as Thomas King FAIRMAN

c. 23 JUL 1809 Drayton Parslow, Buckingham, England

no father listed - mother Elizabeth FAIRMAN
Batch: P014551

I can't see a SPOONER marriage to Elizabeth FAIRMAN.

I can't find a death for Thomas yet.

Regards,

Dave

Re Thomas SPOONER:

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your help. Thomas Spooner died 1891 on the 4 April 1891. The probate Will, has him as Thomas Spooner otherwise Thomas King Fairman. The IGI Index has Thomas Spooner marrying an Mary Raw, 22 Oct 1831 in Aylesbury. Thomas King Fairman, marries a Mary Keys, 16 Oct.1826 in Drayton Parslow. Thomas Spooner has a daughter Susanna, born abt 1829? in the 1851 Census he is married to a Jane, & have 3 more children. Between 1841 & 1851, Mary his 1st wife dies. Can't find anything re that. He was a Grocer, Publican "Three Horse Shoes," also a landowner of 95 acres. His daughter Susanna married a she married a man last name Quick, from Devon, who died, then she went back to be housekeeper to Thomas. He is my G.G.Granddad, and I would love to find out about his earlier life, and other than joining the Buckinghamshire Family History Society, which I really don't want to, I have no idea how to get to the local records. Everything seems to be a big secret.
Regards
Kay
