Wonder why the tree has Rebecca 1831.

Possibly born 1830 and baptised 1831.

When the birth and baptism are not in the same year it's the year of birth that's in the index even though the V Church record is a baptism.

Off a Tree on A..

Ann Ruse (Kiss)

Ann went on to having 3 different relationships and Daniel Reed was the only one we believed she married. Daniel re-offended so Ann left Thomas with James & Elizabeth Ruse, she put 2 daughters in an orphanage and 1 daughter she left with her sister Mary Kennedy nee Ruse (Formerly Crooks).

Ann then met John Hartshorn (senior) and had 3 daughters and a son – she named him John Hartshorn jnr. The year John jnr was born John snr died

Ann met up with Thomas Payne and had 2 sons and 1 daughter.

Ann & Thomes Payne moved to Tumut with John Hartshorn jnr as a baby, John was also known as Jack Payne.

Thanks Geoff.

I now have a copy of the baptism. No year in the birth column.

Thanks Val.

James Ruse is very well known in early NSW. A High School named after him.

Yeah, I double-checked that column because 2x other entries give the year [1830]. There are faint markings in the column, but that could be from the previous or opposite pages.

There is no 1830 in the column so curious.

V183040 150 That means Year = 1830 Record #40 of Volume 150 assigned by the Registrar.

The No. (536) in the Church Register very rarely matches the record number assigned by the Registrar on receipt of the copies from the churches.

If for one year a Church Register started with 1 then you might get a run of records where the two # agree. The records for the year are not in any order. They will jump all over the parishes in NSW.
