These two pictures are of Red Cross Nurses who became VADs ( Voluntary Aid Detachment ) and were stationed in the Royal Naval Hospital Chatham. My mother was with them.

The two in the corridor of the hospital had a 250 yard walk from one end to the other. For urgent calls to the ward at night the staff used bicycles along the corridor

The hospital was in the direct flight path of the V2 bombs which went between its two towers enroute for London

It would be wonderful if any one can identify who they are. I loved nurses uniforms when they looked like this. My grandmother, mother, wife and daughter are or were all nurses
