REED family from Paisley

Not having much luck with the REID family.

Age for James in shipping record is way out. He was born around 1803 as per census. Age at death agrees with that.

Yes, it was that shipping list I followed up by viewing the 2nd reel that lists parents and if still alive.

One tree has the birth and death of Thomas on board. Age is listed as 1 not I= Infant. I can't see it possible he was born on the vessel.

The tree lists their arrival in 1853 and says they were in Scotland in 1871. I doubt that very much.

The same tree has the wrong death for the spouse of one of the STIMSON children. I will check the death notice in 1972 SMH next time I'm at the library to be sure.

I did wake up. I was thinking of the strawberries and chocolate ice cream I just had. :biggrin:

The tree has no census listings and no deaths for Robert and Jane/Jean CUTHBERTSON (nee YOUNG).

James REID b. 1803 Paisley is the only child on the tree and no parents listed. We know from shipping record it's James & Janet but we have no maiden name yet.

I can't find a birth in 1803 on SP to prove the tree correct.

There is a James REID with father = James mother not Jean Jane or Janet and in Renfrew but not one of the Paisley parishes. It's Renfrew, Renfrew.
