relatives grave records have subsequent written on Them

I have found my G Grandfathers Cemetery record and his daughters both are in same plot the records show exact. Both have subsequent recorded on them so would I be right in assuming that someone else was buried in that plot even before my G Grandfather. His was in 1902 the daughter in 1903
Would gratefully accept help in this area . Thankyou

Thanks for that Peter ! Would you know if I could find out from the Cemetery Board who else is buried in the plot or would I just have to go thru the records online page after page looking for the same plot number to come up. It was by pure luck I happened to notice the same number for both relatives.

Thanks for your advice ! I also had a look at a site called Memorial Inscriptions of West Derby and discovered it was my GGrand Dad, daughter and his Grandparents so I was able to get dates of death and then scroll through the cemetery records and found out the plot was bought for my 4xGmother in 1868. Once the C19 has been given the clear my Aunt who lives in Wirral will go and have a look and see if we can maybe bring the headstone back to some kind of Glory as it is just lying on the ground ATM .Thanks again
