As its a time for remembrance I was looking through my grandfathers notes Joseph Walton.
He died of wounds on 7 august 1918 or so the records at Vignacourt Cemetary say but on his Medals card it says 7 aug 1917.
Which is most likely to be the correct date!
Only really of passing interest as I could never have known him not that my father would have either as he was born in 1915 so may never have known him.(Could have as a couple of months overlap)
