Thomas Thompson and Hannah Russell married in Sydney on 19 Oct 1819.
Thomas may have been born in Ireland in 1794 and died in NSW 7 Jun 1872
Hannah born c. 1801 in England and died 26 Nov 1881 NSW - her parents were Henry Russell and Mary Craddock
Dave I have sent you over 2 interesting links that I have found about Thomas, it also mentions Hannah Russell and her father.

No but you found a piece missing from the Australian newspaper story saying he had been in Australia 18 months, hence 1886 or 1887.

I looked in Tewkesbury in 1881 but didn't find him as a policeman.

Yes Kate.

The other policeman was Mallard who also joined the police in NSW. I've not spent much time so far on Mallard.

Any date when Charles joined NSW Police?
This must be close, he is listed as a Probationary Constable as opposed to ordinary or First Class. Also narrows down his arrival to 1881-1884

Thanks Geoff.

Feb 1888 marriage and the other clipping says they had left England by about 18 months. So now do we assume they travelled together?

No notice for Mallard-Bonner marriage.
