Can someone streamline / summarize this information for me... I don't see everything in sync, and I don't know what is accurate and what is not. Please help.

do you have access to any websites to view bmd and census returns? If you have, the census ref numbers will help you get the record I quoted

You have to bear in mind that many records were taken from people who could not read or write. The recorder would often write as he heard it hence the variations in spelling of names. The illiterate people could not tell if the record was correct or not. People were also very sparse with the truth about their age, which often varied depending on what a person wanted to hide. In other words you have to confirm the info with certificates, or by elimination or comparison .

I think we have the right family as Richard and Mary Ann had a son Arthur Whitehead on 1891 census, and Mary Ann's maiden name was Whitehead.
You can follow the family by matching birth places and Richards occupation right back to 1841. Richard married Mary Ann in 1869. this was his 2nd wife, his first being Ellen Foster who he married in 1841. There is a difference in John Williams birth. You have him as born 1887 whereas he is on 1881 and 1891 census as born 1871/2.

Richards parents were John and Martha. There is a marriage in Otley in 1802 between John and Martha Shepherd. This could be his parents. John married again in 1869 to Dorothy Clarkson.
