Ok, back to the KINGS.

Joseph King c1817, Bradenham, Bucks. Occ Carpenter.

1841 in Hughenden. b1821,(with parents, Richard b1777 - d1846 ) & Mary)b1774 -1848 ).
1851 in Hughenden, with brother John King & Elizabeth Collins(servant). born 1819, Hughenden.

These 2 census returns, might be wrong for him.??
1871 in St Giles in the Fields, London. Occ Carpenter. born 1820, High Wycombe. (Widowed ).
1881 in St Giles in the Fields, London. Occ. Board carrier. born 1820, High Wycombe. (Unmarried ).

1861 census, unknown, nor death.

P.o.b could be either Hughenden, Walters Ash, Naphill Common.

Not Ellesborough, Brill or Quainton.

I can't seem to find the 1881 Census entry but you can disregard the Joseph you found in 1871. He is a grocer born Quainton and his three eldest children were born before 1851 which doesn't fit with him being unmarried in 1851. Also he gives his name as Joseph C King.

As he appears to have no issue, he can remain on the back burner for now, as there seem to be quite a few of that name,, so a death will be hard to pin down with any degree of accuracy.

Brother John King, b1800, Bradenham, dies, and was buried @ Hughenden.....26 June 1856, aged 56 of Hughenden. So that's him sorted.

I can't find him anywhere after 1851. None of the deaths in Bucks between 1851 and 1861 are the right age and it starts getting silly if you look elsewhere. As you say, too many of them.

I have had a quick look to see if he emigrated but can't see anything - well not on fmp anyway.

Charlotte King, baptised 1815 Bradenham to Richard & Mary.

Nothing found after that, in Bradenham nor Hugheden.

She may have got married before 1841, as I cannot find her in Bucks, in that census.

(I may have married the wrong Charlotte King of to John Dean in 1844, (Daughter of Thomas King & Ann Almond).......But going by the death age of 63 in 1876, I think I have it right.)

I have been through the 1851 Census looking for a Charlotte born Bucks 1813 - 1817. Unfortunately there are a few who just give pob as Bucks and a few who give pob as Wycombe. Can't see one born Bradnenham but there is a Charlotte Briant born 1815 pob Hughendon married to a John Briant, chair maker.

Ref HO107/1719/F222/p10 Lanes Row High Wycombe.

They have six children and I have found all of them on the GRO site and all three have mmn King.

Now just need to find the marriage.

It seems to be the case MLT.

John Bryant was born c1813, West Wycombe.

Bradenham Baptism - 26 Nov 1815, Charlotte daughter of Richard & Mary KING of Napple(Naphill) Common, Carpenter.

They had 3 children baptised @ West Wycombe, according to FS. John 1840, Sarah 1848, and Mary Ann 1842.

I would hazard a guess they were married about 1834 to early 1837 @ West Wycombe. No marriage in Hughenden or Bradenham.
