Hi Dave,

Found this possible remarriage for Sarah Harriett Colebrook on the 9 Oct 1859 district Rye to Charles Paine.

Sarah Paine died in 1913 district Rye.

Hello Julie,

Thank you very much.

Oh. It looks as though the Sarah Harriet is not the Sarah I thought she was. :D
Does that make sense? :2fun:

So in that census we have two grandchildren and therefore I suspect James and Sarah Hannah are siblings. If anyone agrees with me then that is a different Sarah who married Richard because James the brother of the Sarah I was chasing married Agnes and died in 1907.

Regards,

Dave

Hello Julie,

Thanks. I'd say with the age at death for Sarah PAINE being 5 years out that it's not the Sarah I was chasing born abt 1829 Brede. Ok Icklesham is another that says it's a different Sarah but now the occupation of Thomas shipwright has me wondering.

Two brothers of the Sarah born Brede 1829 were shipwrights.

Regards,

Dave

Oh.

I have just realised my error. Sarah is unmarried in the 1851 census. For some reason I had entered her death in my database as 'after 1841' based on the assumption she had only been found in 1841. I'll get back to James & Sarah H later to find how they fit in.

Marriages Sep 1857
Breach Henry Hastings 2b 39
Jenner William Hastings 2b 39
Turner Ann Hastings 2b 39 *** I don't know if that should be FURNER
Turner Sarah Richardson Hastings 2b 39 *** but I know this one should be FURNER

A private IGI entry has Sarah's middle name as Richardson and born 6 Dec 1827 Brede.

Thomas RICHARDSON is an uncle. A bit odd but that seems to be the origin.

I can't find the marriages to match the couples.

Hello Julie,

Thank you very much.

Now I have to prove the details in the submitted IGI entry are correct. Sarah is a very common name in the FURNER tree so I have several to sort out.

Deaths Dec 1864
Jenner Sarah Richardson Hastings 2b 26

Regards,

Dave
