Do you think this could mean something

The Brisbane Courier (Qld. : 1864 - 1933)
Monday 5 June 1865

MARRIAGE.

ELLIOTT-COOPER.-On the 3rd June, by special license, at Wickham Terrace Church, by the Rev. T. Yes, it means a lot, thanks gibbo. :)

This one makes sense now:

Mary Ann Cooper
Date: 25 Mar 1903
Place: Queensland
Father: James Morris ?
Mother: Mary Ann Bircham ?
Reg Year: 1903
Place: Queensland
Reg no: B003419
Page Number: 5218

It should be James Bircham and Mary Ann Morris - both convicts.

Hi, My great grandfather was Richard Thomas Cooper ( 1851- 1913) & grandmother Ann Eliza Bays /1857-1940) They lived in Thorn St, Kangaroo Point and he was a Customs Officer at the Brisbane Customs House in Brisbane Qld. His father was Captain Richard Edward Hugo Cooper ( 1810-1882) I was interested in your possible connection with this side of our family & would be keen to hear about this.
kind regards
Anne

Hello Anne and welcome to the Forum.

I'm not a descendant of Cooper or Bays or Noble families.

The North Australian, Ipswich and General Advertiser (Ipswich, Qld. : 1856 - 1862) - Tuesday 19 August 1856 p.2
MARRIAGE.
On the 6th instant, at the German Station, by the Rev. W. J. K. Piddington, Mr Alfred C. Bays, of Little Ipswich, to Henrietta Augusta, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Hugh Noble, of Sydney.

I was working from that marriage to fill a remote branch of my tree.

If you have any queries then post them on one of the boards.

Thanks Dave,
I only joined today so still navigating this site. Ann Eliza's father was an AC Bays so this marriage is possibly her parents as she was born in 1857 the following year. The notice of Ann Eliza's marriage to Richard Thomas Cooper was listed on 20/9/1880 in Ipswich in the Brisbane Courier and lists her father as AC Bays formerly of the Brisbane Times now Islington England. I haven't much information on the Bays side so this is helpful thank you.
Anne :)

I sometimes go way out on a limb of my tree but I keep pruning it to keep it under 5000. :)

I have some info on the Bays family. You can also use the search function on the menu bar at the top to search this site for bays or whatever.

Thanks very much Dave, this information is wonderful and has inspired me to look into this arm of the family tree. I'll have a good look under the search engine next week when I'm on my PC and not my IPhone.
I have lots of information about the Cooper family back to Richard Edward Hugo Cooper if you are interested. We also believe Mary Ann's parents were both convicts. Mary Morris and James Bircham. We have not been able to find a birth Certificate for REH but suspect like you it was Tynemouth or a marriage Certificate of his parents but the Hugo's mostly seem to be from Cornwall. There was a Cooper family of Mariners in the early 1800's in Sydney which we suspect there could be a link with but can't prove as the have a Richard Edward Cooper the same age as REH....??
Also if you are interested in the Gillespie side Captain David Gillespie Elliott (also a Brisbane Customs Officer) who married REH and Mary Anne daughter Esther Clara was later sent to prison on St Helena Island in Redland Bay for the shooting of REH Cooper at their Bulimba home. REH did not die then but several months later. There are some colourful newspaper stories also on Trove about REH adventures also. He and Captain Dalrymple were the first Morton Bay Pilots bringing ships into Brisbane if you are interested in the Mariner connections.
Anyway let me know if I can help you find any missing pieces too :)
Thanks again
Anne :)
