Like you, I am guessing that Mary Jane ib the 1881 Census is the Jane born 1853 to Mark and Christiana

The children Jane and Thomas with mmn Fox are the children of John Steed Rigden and Hannah Elizabeth Fox who married in Folkestone 8 August 1863.

The John Rigden who married Hannah Kemp in 1841 was a Dredger, son of John Rigden also a Dredger.

I don't think either of theses Johns are linked to your Rigdens.

Then this is coincidence. Percy Brown Jarrett married Christiana Rigden - post $#7. So the Rigden family in this census are not connected.
