Ritchie & Thompson 1822-1826 London

#3
Hi Peejay,
According to 1881 census he was born in Deptford; at 1851 he is shown as Henry Rippee born in St.James and shown as being the son of Jane Thompson! Jane also has a daughter called Jane who is 29 who presumably becomes Henry's wife but I've found no marriage date or place for them. At 1861 he is given as born at St.Georges, Middlesex and mother Thompson and sister in law living with them! There is a daughter, at 1861, Rosalie (my gg grandmother!) aged 12 but I've never found her birthdate or place either!
Perhaps the whole family need fresh eyes to see what I cannot!

Hi Pejay,
The 1841 census is remarkable, on Ancestry Jane and children have the surname Kitchie!
Doing some more research yesterday, I came across a birth of Rosa Julia Jennings Ritchie baptised in 1834 at St.Pancras, mother given as Jane and father William Ritchie. I wonder what part Henry Jennings played in the family? Do you think that he was Jane's father? Perhaps William Ritchie died and she went home to live with dad?
Many thanks for your research-I'd be interested in your thoughts on the family.
