:D Would someone possibly be able to help confirm if this either Annie Wallaces brother or her uncle??

Annie Wallace - born 1883 - London area, father Frederick John Wallace (as per her marriage cert) his occupation was Coachman - deceased at time of marriage .:'(

Rivers was a witness on Annie marriage cert in 1902.

On 1881 census - Annie does not show up - so was wondering if this lot are siblings or uncles/aunts.

Thank you millions for verifying that for me - yippee!!!!

I actually tracked them down - it's amazing!!!!!!!

I'll get on with loading this bunch onto my tree then...........

Last ?, promise - is there any confirmation that Annie Wallace is linked to this lot?

And I take it the younger part of the gang are Annie's brothers and sisters.

Thank you billions and trillions

By looking at the 1881 census I would say these are uncles and aunts of Annies. Do you know Annies mothers name as there is a marriage for a Frederick John Wallace district Barnet year 1889 Oct/Nov/Dec 1/4 the only bride listed is a Emma Amelia Knowles.

Hi ya

Could the Frederick John who got married in 1889 to Emma Amelia be Annies older brother? That's who I thought he was?

As annie would have been about 19 when she married Charles Trojan and Rivers would have been 34.

This is all rather confusing:confused: - why couldn't they just keep things simple?

My researching has pulled up an Ann Wallace (widower) in 1881, but then Annie would not have been born:confused:

Or is Frederick John (as per 1871 census - aged 12 - thus born 1859 ish?) Annies father and then later married Emma Amelia?

Oh my god!!! what a web!!!!:D  :D

If they are the right family I have taken it that Frederick John is Annies father, the marriage for Frederick may not be the right one the marriage certificate will tell. Probaly a little more probing will be needed.

Suszanne,

The nearest I could find in 1901 for a Annie Wallace is as follows:-

Civil parish Camberwell
RD Camberwell
Sub reg district Peckham

799 Old Kent Road

Annie Wallace age 18 boarder occ barmaid born Bermondsey

There plenty of Annie Wallace born between 1881-1885 in various places.

Hello Suzanne,
I have just today, joined this group, as I saw your message on 'Google' about Rivers Wallace.
I could only contact you if it were through this web-site.
I am connected to the Ward family, through my paternal line. My ancestor Kimpton Ward had a daughter, Annie, who married Fred Wallace, and hence the son Rivers Edwin Wallace, born 1869.
If you want any more details please reply to this thread, thank you,

Hello Suzanne,
Sorry it is a little late, in the day, to reply to your thread on Rivers Edwin Wallas. I am a direct descendant of the Wards and have been researching the family for a number of years, now. I have Rivers Edwin down as being the son of Annie Ward and Frederick Wallas. Annie was born in 1832, daughter of Kimpton Ward born 1799.
On the census, that you mention in your thread you have Emma Ellis, at the bottom, this was the future wife of Kimpton Ward Wallas (brother of Rivers) She was also their cousin (daughter of Jane Ward, sister of Annie born 1832
I hope that this clears up any queries that you had. Ther is, hopefully going to be a 'Gathering' of Wards and Wallas families, sometime next year, If you are interested, perhaps you could let me know, I will only give details as and when they are finialised but to your own email address, as I would not post details on a webpage.
The gathering will not be until next year, and will possibly be in Braughing Hertfordshire, where the Ward family originated from. Let me know what you think !!!!
