The master copy of the SMH for 28 March 1959 was checked at SLNSW and in Victoria and that issue was found to be missing from the film.

I'd say the compositor is ruled out.

The one I'm after called himself Ross:

No death in NSW 1932-1936 so it's possibly him with an error for middle name. But, if he preferred to call himself 'Ross' then why change between 1933 and 1936?
