Here is a classic example where the names are swapped between birth and baptism. :D

See what you mean by Robert James and James Robert

Possible marriage
1919 B22614 Thelma Maude Neeves James Robert Beck

Electoral Rolls looks like 1921-1925 James Robert and 1943-1972 Robert James

Looks like it's the same person
1925 James Robert Insurance inspector
1943 Robert James Insurance inspector

Hi Dave,
found this and thought you can add it to the family..

Richmond River Express & Casino Kyogle Advertiser Fri 6 June 1919

Bombardier Charles Beck and Private William Beck, sons of Mr. M. C. Beck, of Deep Creek, returned from the front a few days ago. Tho brothers enlisted early in 1915 and sailed with the Light Horse for Egypt within a few days of each other in February of that year. Later they went to France; where they saw considerable service and were in many big stunts. With the exception of a slight illness while on furlough in England, Bombardier Charles Beck went through the whole campaign without so much as a day's sickness. His brother, however, was less fortunate, as he was twice wounded. While he was waiting his turn in the casualty clearing station at Bullecourt on the occasion of ono of his wounds a call was made for a volunteer for tho transfusion of blood to a comrade whose life could only thus be saved. Pte. Beck immediately offered himself for the operation, which' was successfully performed, und at the expense of a quantity of his own blood probably saved the life of the dying man. The brothers returned home in different ships within a few days of each other.

BECK APSLEY CHARLES : Service Number - N391150 : Date of birth - 21 Nov 1896 : Place of birth - ROCKY HALL NSW : Place of enlistment - PADDINGTON NSW : Next of Kin - BECK ELSIE.

BECK WILLIAM : Service Number - N68051 : Date of birth - 29 Jul 1886 : Place of birth - BEGA NSW : Place of enlistment - NEWCASTLE NSW : Next of Kin - MELDRUM STELLA

regards
Val
