Robert Tombleson Berry

Hello

I'm looking for information on 'Thomas Tombleson Berry' who was allotted the 14th Piece of land from Welney in 1821 in the the drainage of the great level of the fens.

I have most of the 'Tombleson' and 'Tombleson Berry' lines but I can't tie Robert up anywhere - even though he clearly exists!

Hope someone can help?

Thank you for taking the time to reply and research this. I have Thomas Tombleson Berry and all the others with Tombleson as a middle name (came from their mother's maiden name (I live in the Berry family home in Christchurch, Cambridgeshire).

It's Robert I can't locate anywhere - even though I know he exists:

Well I’m stuck on this one. Thomas pops up a few times when searching. As for Robert only the link you posted. Just a thought was Robert’s name miss printed? I dont know if the Norfolk Heritage Centre would be of any help? You could give it a try.

The same lot was owned by Samuel Berry, (1760-1826) in 1801). Samuel married Elizabeth Tombleson in 1785. Must be some connection.

This is a difficult one, he can't of been baptised at Christchurch as that was not built until 1865 so if he was born Upwell it must be St Peter but I can't find any records for him there.

Hazel do you know when James Berry died? If so maybe if he left a will it might mention kids.
