Can wife Mary and his parents be found in 1841?

Did wife Mary die before 1 Feb 1855?

England & Wales, Criminal Registers, 1791-1892
Name: Royal Atkins
Age: 20
Date of Trial: 26 Mar 1835
Trial Year: 1835
Location of Trial: Warwickshire, England
Sentence: Death

He was tried for burglary with a John Atkins 18, both sentenced to death and had the sentence commuted.
Can that be confirmed?

SLQ has changed the search function and now I can't find the Transportation Database.

Brother John is listed on 1842 Ident as living in NP = Native Place = Coventry so either not involved with the offence or found not guilty.

Links to census have not been working on FS for the last two days.

One baptised 1823 and two deaths:

Deaths Sep 1846
Atkins Joseph Aston Coventry 16 393

Deaths Dec 1871
Atkins Joseph Aston 48 Coventry 6d 277

====
Joseph senior ?? Can't tell as Joseph Atkins is a common name in Coventry.

Deaths Jun 1844
ATKINS Joseph Coventry 16 259

Lot's of possible deaths for wife Mary and mother Mary in Coventry.

Looking for the family in 1841.

Census is working again on FS.

Several Atkins families in St Michael Coventry including a few with parents Joseph & Mary but there are children born before 1835 with names not included on Royal's convict ident.

The census in FS are not working again for me.

Royal's wife Mary was living in Coventry in 1842 so she should be there in 1841 census.

Thanks Rupert.

I'm lost with the new search function on SLQ site so can't find John in Transportation database.

If he was transported to VDL then I'll search for his Ident which should list his family. That should rule John out for sure.

Royal's wife and parents should be in Coventry in 1841 but I'm not sure I've found them.

Thanks Rupert.

It looks as though they are the right baptisms and Mary's maiden name is Aston. I'd say it was Royal's brother who was also convicted in 1835. Royal was convicted in 1839. The full Ident:

Number: 7930 Name: ATKINS Royal Where Tried: Warwick Coventry City G.Q.S. When Tried: 14 Oct 1839 Height: 5 5 1/4 Age: 27 Sentence: 7 Religion: P Read or Write: R Single or Married: M Statement of Offence: Stealing some machinery work belonging to Birmingham Railroad Compy. - 12 mos. for Housebreaking - Ironed at the Hulk for noise Surgeons Report: 2 Offces. Bad Trade: Labourer Native Place: Coventry Remarks: W. Mary at NP F. Joseph M. Mary at NP B. Jno. Joseph S. Ann at NP

Looks like the right family in 1841. Only problem is that Royal's wife Mary should also be in Coventry in 1841. Newcombe looks to be their son but he is with grandparents.
