sammy lane killed by a stray bullet at 21

hi ,my cousin D. Samuel Lane,was only 21 serving in a welsh regiment in 1940s,he was returning home to neath where his young wife (unknown name)and newly born daughter vera were waing for him ,living in Neath,South/Wales.Sammy was killed by a stray bullet before he could reach his young family,this is all i know of them,his name is on a plaque outside the Gnoll Estate Gates with many of his regiment ,is there anyone who could help me find more info on my cousin please , I am imobile,and i was hoping this site may be able to kindly help me,with many thanks,from Gillian Palmer.xx:'(
