Looking at Samuel Johnson Born Macclesfield 1877. I found a Samuel entering the States in Apr 1907 travelling on the Baltic, to Ellis Island age 29.
Samuels parent where Samuel and Mary. Would like to know if this is the right Sam and where did he go in the states.
When I looked at the Cheshire BDM I only found one sam born in Macclesfield around this year. Someone might prove me wrong.
Thanks for your help in advance

Hi Nev

I agree with your findings as far as he is the only one in Macclefield. However in 1901 he is a patient and described as a Lunatic. As far as I can see the emigration record is inconclusive in that it does not give Samuels address or age. He appears to be travelling alone, which is strange if he was a lunatic. I cannot however find him in 1911.

sorry - dave
