Sarah Ann Hardy born abt 1826 leciestershire

Hello

I was wondering if anyone could help me locate a 1841/1851 census for a Sarah Anne Hardy. She married a Joseph Hardy on 26th September 1854. She lived in Staveley derbyshire. I have her on the 1861 census as being born in Leciestershire but there is another census that says Nottingham. She had 3 children, Charlotte, William and john.

Born abt 1826 in the subject line. Maiden name is either pheasant/pleasant/feasant I've seen 3 different spellings

Looking at familysearch, fathers name is given as George Shuttleworth.

I have seen that name also but wasn't confident about it

A Sarah Ann Shuttleworth married a James Pheassant on13 Nov 1843 - Sawley Derbyshire.

Does it give her place of birth

The marriage wouldn’t give place of birth only residence, which would be on the marriage certificate.

A Sarah Ann Shuttleworth was christened 11 Jun 1823 Nottingham - Parents George and Charlotte Shuttleworth.

On the 1851 census a Sarah A Pheasant a widow born Nottingham with 2 daughters Charlotte and Mary A in Kegworth Derbyshire. She is with parents Edward and Charlotte Cross. I’ll have a look as I think this might be Charlottes 2nd marriage.

An Edward Cross married a Charlotte Shuttleworth 1846 - Shardlow. A James Pheasant death was registered Mar 1/4 Shardlow.

I have a daughter for Sarah named

Daughter Mary Ann Pheasant christened 8 Sept 1844 - Sawley Derbyshire - died 7 Mar 1847. Charlotte was christened 4 Apr 1847 - Sawley Derbyshire - Parents James and Sarah Ann.

A Charlotte Pheasant married Robert Marriott - 4 Jun 1863 - Chesterfield. The copy of the marriage certificate is on the familysearch site - image number 420.

James is her first marriage. I have Sarah marrying a Joseph Hardy in 1854

Sarah Ann Shuttleworth married James Pheasant - he died 1849. Sarah Ann Pheasant (or similiar spelling) married Joseph Hardy 1854. The census year should have read 1851 not 1861 which I have corrected, where she is with Edward and Charlotte Cross.

A death registration for a George Shuttleworth - age 45 - 1842 - Shardlow.

So the Sarah Anne i have her mothers maiden name is correct as being pheasant?

I don’t lnow the reason why Sarah Ann has maiden maiden name of Pheasant (or similar) on the children’s birth certificates. Her maiden name is Shuttleworth.
