the road between Smythesdale and Ballarat.
That, owing to his temper, vindictiveness,
bias, and general unsuitability, the said James
Lewin is utterly unfit to hold the magisterial

He got to keep his job Someone wrote another article for the paper defending him, then a few article in Trove with him with JP next to his name.
