Hello
I am trying to find a Baptism for my GG Grandmother SARAH ANNE GREAVES. According to the 1851 Unfilmed Census she was born in LIMEHURST OLDHAM about 1821.
I have looked at St MIchael's Church Ashton-under-Lyne but can't find her there although some parts of the microfilm are unreadable.
I have checked St Mary's Oldham online but can't see her there. Her father was RICHARD GREAVES who was a Baker.
On the 1841 Census she is SARAH ANNE LOWDEN having married HENRY LOWDEN in March 1841 at St Michael's Church Ashton-under-Lyne and was living at Charlestown Glossop Derbyshire and she stated she was not born in that County.
HENRY LOWDEN died in 1846 and then SARAH ANNE LOWDEN nee GREAVES) married THOMAS HAGUE on 17th August 1846 at St Michael's Church Ashton-under-Lyne.
On the 1861 Census she says she was born in Ashton-under-Lyne. She died in 1870.
I have found that she is buried in St Michael's Churchyard Ashton-under-Lyne.
I don't know who her brothers and sisters are but there are quite a few GREAVES in Oldham.
There are a likely mother and father on the 1841 Census-RICHARD & MARY GREAVES living at Duncan Street Ashton-under-Lyne but Richard is not a Baker. According to SARAH ANNE's Marriage Certificate in 1846 her father was a Baker.
Can anyone suggest anywhere else to look?
I have asked for St Peter's Church Oldham Baptisms from my LDS Centre but I have been waiting since last June for these. St Peter's are online up to about 1812.
Thanks
